[ok, they both know each other. Have been together for about, two years and married for one. She is pregnant, about three months gone, with Jessica. Sarah has the power of telekenisis. James is a civilian. He doesn't know she's pregnant. They are in their house, just hanging around. They are about 24. James being 25.] Sarah sat down on the soft couch, gently lowering herself. She self-conciously put a hand over the small bump appearing on her stomach. James hadn't noticed yet, thankfully. She didn't know how to tell him she was pregnant. Luckily, she also had no morning sickness, which was an added bonus. Sarah sighed, leaning back and closing her eyes. She had to tell him. She knew she had to tell him. She just, wasn't sure how to tell him. She didn't know how he would react. She had to admit, she was worried. Sarah: James:

James had just gotten home from work, tired and pissed off that the people in the office didn't understand that they were making a mistake with that contract. Oh hell, he didn't really care about that now. All he wanted to do was be home with his wife by the fire and on the sofa talking about nothing but his argument for dinner and chores. Being home...it's all he wanted to be now.
He parked the car outside the house. He needed a new one, but he wasn't about to tell Sarah that. She said it was enough for them to have this second hand one so that they could have enough to start a family, but when were they going to start one anyway? James didn't know, but all he knew was that he trusted Sarah, her being pretty smart with budgets.
"Sarah, Honey, I'm home," called out James as he walked through the front door. "Sarah."

Sarah heard James open the door and smiled, taking her hand off of the small bump underneath her t-shirt. She pulled herself slowly off of the sofa and walked out of the living room into the hall to greet him. She smiled brightly at him.
"James," she said softly, hugging him tightly. "I missed you today. How is everything?" Sarah knew his work wasn't exactly running smoothly recently, but it brought in the money, and that was good enough for her. She just wanted him.

"Everything is same as always," replied James, smiling brightly at his wife. It was something that he looked forward to everyday. Just settling down and being with her. That was everything he needed, everything he wanted. That much James knew. He looked at Sarah's sparkling eyes and smiled even wider. "I missed you too," he added, leaning nearer and kissed her on the forehead.
"I'm sorry I couldn't be home earlier..." he said.

Sarah smiled contently. Just being near him was enough to bring a smile to her face and sparkle to her eyes. She loved him with all her heart, which is why she was so worried about telling him about the baby. What if he didn't want it and left her? She couldn't stand it if he left her.
As she thought about this, she completely tuned out of what he was saying, her smile turning into a worried frown. She suddenly realised he had said something and blinked, looking at him.
"Sorry, what?"

"It's nothing," said James, just. He gave Sarah a quick kiss before letting go of her. "Is dinner ready yet? I'm kind of hungry." He didn't notice the eyes Sarah had. He was hungry...But James had a feeling that there was something Sarah had to tell him. Although he knew that if she wanted to tell him, Sarah would simply blurt it out.
"Hey, do you know that Bradewall is full of crap lately?" he asked as he picked up the evening paper that was on the coffee table. "I can't believe everyone's suddenly changing, taking sides again like they did in the past. The Kings...those Glares. Not to mention Carters."

"Yeah, it is. I'll just get it sorted for you," Sarah said, walking into the kitchen while he walked into the living room. She stood at the kitchen counter, breathing deeply. The baby was giving her a bit of a twinge, to be perfectly honest.
"Yes, I heard about that. The Kings are nice people, but I can't believe they are all getting on different sides. It's stupid," Sarah agreed, rubbing her bump. "Stupid. I will never pick sides. It'll all end in tears, I know it."

James smiled and nodded as he looked up from the paper. "Me neither, but this is all going to fall apart once again." He shook his head, having seen one of the worst fights himself...or at least heard of them from other people who lived in Bradewall. "Funny how people just let them do these fights even though they're quite senseless and fruitless as far as I can see it."
He looked at his wife. "Sarah, is there something you have to tell me?" he asked. Having seen that look on her face many times before.

"Yes, it will all fall apart, like it did before," Sarah said, shaking her head sadly. Her own father was in one of these fights a while ago. Died in the fight too. Sarah had hoped to never see another fight like that again. But here it was, happening again.
"Uh..."Sarah said, frozen to the spot. He knew something was up, she knew he would figure out soon enough. "I..." Her bump twinged again and she put a hand over it. "I'm pregnant."

James looked stunned for a moment. He looked at Sarah and couldn't find the right words to say. Pregnant? When? Huh? Really? Emotions flooded all around him, most of which he couldn't explain. He simply looked at Sarah. He was happy, he was more than happy, but he didn't know how to tell her that he was.
James' eyes sparkled with joy. It was one of those moments when he wouldn't know what to do even if he worked as a consultant in the past. Oh, this was just...He didn't even know how to describe that exact moment.
