Cole smirked. It wasn't too long before Jessica would see another Cole standing right beside the Cole who she was speaking too while she was playing on the machine. It could be confusing at times, which to Cole was great because he could get away with anything with what he could do.
"I duplicate myself," Cole told Jessica proudly. It was one of the things he had inherited from his father. He would have wanted to fly like his mother did, but heck, it wasn't all that bad to stay on land.
It didn't take too long before a third Cole appeared. "I can triple myself too...or make myself into a hundred," explained the third Cole with a smile just like the first Cole's.

Jessica looked at the three Cole's, with a mixture of confusion and amazement. She looked at the first Cole she was speaking to and gave him a small smile.
"Don't create a hundred of you. I think one is enough for now," Jessica said softly, the smile still on her face. "I don't think I could cope with that many surrounding me."

The three Coles reverted back into one. Cole stretched himself a bit as he licked his upper lip. "I still have a lot of getting used to to that," he admitted. Although he already knew how to control his powers...pretty much...he still doesn't like the feeling when he has to go back into being a single person again. That tingly feeling had always bugged him since he was younger.
"When did you know you had telekinetic power?" asked Cole, wanting the conversation to go on. He was liking this girl already, and he wondered why he did not approach her before again. How could he miss those many chances?

"I still don't like the feeling I get after moving something. It's like something's holding onto my head for a bit. A connection with the object. It'll get better soon, I hope," Jessica said, feeling her own connection break with the steering wheel.
"My ninth birthday. My brother, Charlie, he was running. Running away from something and tripped. In front of him was a spike, heading straight for his heart. And, I just, I just looked at the spike and wished with all my might it would disappear and it moved. Saved his life too," Jessica said, remembering the day well. "And since then, I move things that are going to hurt him or anyone."

Cole nodded, amazed at what big sisters would do for their little brothers. Oh, but he wasn't like that to his own younger brother, although there were times he wished he was. They could have been better friends too if only he tried to reach out to him since he should know better. If only time manipulation was one of his powers...
"Charlie is sure pretty lucky to have you as his older sister," said Cole, quickly glancing at Charlie who was still off with his own games before turning back to Jessica. "Does he have powers too?" Cole asked.

"I'm lucky to have him as a younger brother. Even if he does get on my nerves sometimes," Jessica said, sighing. Charlie often annoyed her, asking her to do this, to do that, to come with him to arcades. Although, she was willing to let that slide this once. If she hadn't of come, she wouldn't of met Cole.
"Charlie? No, he doesn't. One of our parents didn't have any powers. I don't know which one though. I'm half, you see," Jessica said, fiddling with her hair again.

Cole nodded in understanding. "Little brothers can be a pest from time to time," he said in a calm voice, "But you can't deny the fact that they can always make you laugh," he said, remembering his own younger brother.
Again, Cole nodded when he heard about Jessica's parents. "Yeah, I guess it's fifty fifty with the kids then too," he said. He hadn't really thought about that since he was always expected to have powers one way or another because both of his parents had them and it would be a total shame if he had none.
Cole watched as the girl right in front of him fiddled with her hair. She looked cute that way.

"Yes, it is fifty-fifty. But, Charlie doesn't care. He just uses his own little power. The power of persuasion," Jessica replied, a small smile on her face. Her brother could persuade her to do pretty much anything. He could persuade anyone to do anything.
Jessica saw Cole staring at her fiddling with her hair and blushed, feeling even more embarrassed that someone had actually noticed her doing it.

Cole smiled even more. "Yeah, I can see that," he pointed out. "He managed to get you into this place." He looked around. It might feel like home to him, but he knew it wasn't that much to Jessica. Seeing her in school more often than not, he knew that she preferred the quiet places rather than the noisy ones.
"Hey," Cole suddenly said, "why don't we race." Even though he was already enjoying Jessica's company, he still couldn't take his mind off the brand new machine. But this time, it was even better.

"That he did, that he did. Also, he sort of dragged me along to this place. And I really couldn't let him go on his own," Jessica said, glancing at Charlie breifly to check he's ok.
Jessica looked at him in shock. He actually wanted to play this game with her? Why? Jessica quickly turned her shocked look into a smile and nodded. "Ok, I'll have a go."
