Cole looked from side to side. No, he didn't want this time to end just yet. There must be something they could do without having to use quarters...which he wished that he wasn't out of. Of all the days that he would run out of quarters, he had to pick this one. Cole made a mental note never to forget to refill his pants with quarters regardless of where he was going.
"Want to grab a drink?" he finally asked. It was his last option. There was one good thing about the arcade, there was always going to be that trust vending machine in the corner, waiting for them to flush a drink or two out of it.
Good thing I went to get some allowance from Dad yesterday. Cole thought. If there was one thing about his trip to the arcade, it was that it was one of those day's he'd never forget.

Jessica nodded at him, climbing out of the car and brushing her hair off of her face. She leant against the car, looking over at Charlie, who saw her looking and smiled at her. She smiled back then looked at Cole.
"So, do you want me to pay for the drinks?" Jessica asked, yet again fiddling with her hair. She really had to stop doing that.

Cole dug out a some bills from his pocket. "Nah, I got it covered," he said confidently. He looked over at Charlie too. "You're brother's a good kid," he commented. There was some part of him that wished that he and his younger brother be as close as Charlie and Jessica were, but he knew that it was never going to happen.
Cole looked back at Jessica. "What would you like for a drink?" she then asked her. If there was anything his mother taught him, it was his manners. That was the only thing he could remember from his mother other than being watched over with an eagle's eye every time he stayed over with her and his little brother.

"When he wants to be, yes," Jessica agreed, nodding. Her brother was good. He never complained, was never bad and never got in trouble at school. He was a very good kid, which Jessica was proud of. She loved her little brother.
"Oh, um," Jessica said, not really have thought that she was actually have got asked what she wanted. It had never really crossed her mind to think of that. "Um, what ever you're having."

Cole just smiled. He just hoped that Jessica and Charlie realize what they have isn't something that everyone has...even between siblings. He looked back at Jessica. "Soda," he replied. "It's the only thing I drink out of that machine when I come here, trust me." He glanced at the vending machine. "So there's orange soda, grape soda...that apple soda which tastes a bit weird for me." He stopped before going on, "There's the regular coke too."
Cole turned to Jessica. "You're choice."

Jessica looked at the vending machine, scanning the contents with her eyes. She pretty much drank every single one of them. He was right, apple soda tasted strange though. Maybe she should just have a normal soda. Something plain, just to be on the safe side.
"Uh, I'll just have a regular coke, if that's ok with you," Jessica asked, looking at him for conformation.

"Why not?" said Cole as he headed to the vending machine. He pushed in some bills and watched the cans fall into the bin below. He took the two cold cokes and walked back to where Jessica was standing. He then handed her one of the cans. "I love the regs too," he commented as he opened his.
The coke was cool, and it was all Cole needed to regain some strength from using his power. Coke is something he won't get tired of, much to his mother's dismay.

"Yes, it means you have no surprises about the taste," Jessica said, opening the coke carefully, so as not to spill it everywhere. "Sometimes you don't need something surprising to drink."
Jessica drank some of the coke, feeling the cold liquid running through her. It tasted great. She hadn't had soda in a while. She had been drinking water for a while. It was purer, clearer, and helped her think. Coke, it was fizzy, full of sugar and made her feel hyper. Even after once. But not too hyper, just hyper enough.

Cole threw his head back after a long sip from the can. 'Does that mean you hate surprises?" he asked. There were people who threw stuff at him just because he surprised them. Oh boy, with Jessica's telekinetic power, he didn't want to take chance. "Or maybe adventures and things like that?"
If it were up to Cole really, he would have taken Jessica around to try out some more games while they were still at the arcade. He could get the bills changed into quarters, but it would really be awaste if the gril would rather not play.

"No, I don't mind surprises. I just don't like drinking surprises," Jessica replied, already feeling the coke take an affect on her. She could feel herself feeling more happy, although she wasn't sure whether that was the coke or Cole.
Jessica leaned against a nearby wall, letting the fizzy liquid completely fill her with happiness. "I must warn you, I may get a bit hyper. I don't do too well with fizzy drinks. But, I shouldn't be too bad." She smiled at him.
